V Davosu se v rámci WEF konala přednáška pod názvem „Ready for brain transparency ?”, která představila technologii detekce mozkových vln, umožňující například zaměstnavateli kontrolovat, jak tvrdě jeho zaměstnanci pracují, zda se nerozptylují či zda nechovají nějaké láskyplné city ke svým spolupracovníkům. Doslova zaznělo:
“You can not only tell whether a person is paying attention or their mind is wandering, but you can discriminate between the kinds of things they are paying attention to. Whether they’re doing something like central tasks, like programming, peripheral tasks like writing documentation, or unrelated tasks like surfing social media or online browsing.“

Máme problém, Houstone, nikdo nám nevěří.
Podle návodu jsme nainstalovali zaměstnancům detektor mozkových vln a zjistili jsme, že nám žádný zaměstnanec nevěří. Pracovní úkoly plní s nechutí a naše prohlášení o zásadách firemní etiky u nich vyvolalo zděšení a v několika případech i nutkání ke zvracení. Navenek se zaměstnanci sice usmívali, ale záznamy z detektorů mluví jasně: sereme je.
